In 2018 the Parish Council offered the school an abandoned allotment plot.  Our deputy Mrs Ward took up the challenge and with regular visits from classes across the school and a few parent work parties at weekends the school has one of the more colourful and flourishing plots on the site.

The allotment is used across many subjects in our curriculum, from plants and growing to using the vegetables for still life in art lessons.

All the hard work  and perseverance was rewarded in 2019 when Mrs Ward our deputy headteacher was one of three finalists for the Royal Horticultural Society School Gardener of the year.
