E-Safety & Gaming


E-safety is an important part of keeping children safe both at school & at home.  Keeping children safe online will only be successful if we all work together to ensure the e-Safety message is consistent.

 

It is important to speak to children about how they can keep safe and behave appropriately online.  They also need to know what they should do if they have a problem – good internet security & education around safe use is the best defence we can give them.

  • ThinkUKnow Information on websites, mobiles & new technology. Run by National Crime Agency CEOP. Targeted e-safety games, information & videos for children from age 5 up to 14+ & for parents, carers, teachers & trainers.
  • CEOP Safety Centre CEOP’s advice, help and report centre. Targeted sections for children from age 5 up to 14+ & for parents, carers, & people working with children.
  • Online Abuse Report link If you have been a victim of online abuse or you’re worried about somebody else, let CEOP know securely via this link.
  • Childnet Run by Childnet International. Targeted information & games on everything E.
  • EST E-Safety website The e-safety trainers used by Broadland cluster in Spring 2017 for pupils, staff & parents. Videos on e-safety & a useful blog. You can also follow them on Facebook & Twitter.

 

Games & Gaming

  • PEGI Website If you want to know more about the ratings labels on video, console & mobile games: how to decode them, how they are judged etc.
  • Askaboutgames Useful information & help for families by people who really know this world. They will also answer specific questions if you can’t find what you need on the site.
