Music is an important part of the life of a Coltishall Pupil.  From Year three onwards every class has a weekly instrument lesson.  In year three and year four pupils learn to play a recorder.  In year five and year six pupils learn to play a P-bone trumbone. The curriculum has been based on recommendations from the OFSTED music review July 2021.

Every pupil who receives individual or group instruction is encouraged to join the Coltishall School Orchestra. Teacher/Parent volunteers assist the orchestra by playing alongside the pupils.

The orchestra practises once a week and performs at a Summer and Winter Concert twice a year. The school choir also participate at the concerts.

The Orchestra is conducted by Mr Weitz.
