We currently have a vacancy for ASC Leader

We are advertising a great opportunity for an After School Club Leader to join our caring and dedicated staff.  The position is for a temporary post, for one year, starting on the 4th January 2021, with a view to becoming a permanent contract. 15 hours a week, Monday to Friday from 3pm till 6pm.

The successful candidate will be joining a strong, talented and committed team of teaching and non-teaching staff; working in a well-resourced and attractive environment with friendly and enthusiastic pupils who have a love of learning.


The school has a very popular and busy After School Club.  We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic person to fill the role of After School Club Leader in providing a varied menu of creative after school play opportunities in a safe and caring environment.  You will need to be able to communicate effectively at all levels with the pupils, parents and school staff.


Duties will involve providing full care for the children including the provision of a hot snack and the safe delivery to parents at the end of the day.  Previous experience in providing stimulating, creative and safe play opportunities would be an advantage.  Ideally the applicant would hold First Aid and Food Hygiene certificates or be willing to gain these qualifications.

  • Have experience of supervising children in an educational setting
  • Are hard-working and enthusiastic and passionate about learning
  • Can deliver a range of stimulating activities to small groups of children
  • Have excellent experience of working with children of all abilities
  • Can use information technology effectively to support your role
  • Have excellent literacy, numeracy and (sometimes) baking skills
  • Enjoy working collaboratively and being a member of an outstanding team
  • Have a good sense of humour
